Dear Captain Hundley,
Just a note to thank you so much for the life-changing opportunity to catch the “fish of our dreams. I am not sure that you rightly remember us, but we were the couple from North Carolina and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law were from Monroe, Michigan. We had planned this trip to fish Lake Michigan for over a year. My wife and I did odd jobs, (painting) to save the money for this trip. Through this trip we made memories that will last us lifetime.
Year before we had friends from Colorado that assured us that if we came out there that we would for sure get some Coho Salmon. We went and took out a loan ($1800.00) to go to Colorado. We were there for 2 weeks and came home totally empty handed. We caught about five or six small 8-inch fish. We were so disappointed with our trip. It took us about six months to pay off the trip. When my sister-in-law and brother-in-law asked us to book a trip in Manistee, we were very scared. We knew that it would be a great sacrifice for us to make this commitment and go on that trip.
Without a doubt, we had a marvelous time on our fishing charter with you this summer on Lake Michigan in September. You made this “Once-in-a-life-time-trip” so much more than we could of ever hoped for. The expertise and professionalism that you displayed along with the handling of the boat in finding the “Big Ones. Your well-equipped boat with the all of the latest and up-to-date tackle, the accommodations, your professional mannerism in handling people of our age bracket, and helping us reaching our quota of the day, were all first-class. As you can see from the photo’s we caught all Kings, but two. I was the only one that caught Coho.
If at anytime we were to come across someone that really wanted to fish for Coho on Lake Michigan, we would immediately refer you to them. I would gladly recommend TNT Charters for someone who not only wanted to fish, but TNT Charters is for the man “who wants an experience of a lifetime.”
I had the Coho mounted for the living room over the mantle. I had a piece of driftwood that had hung on my wall for over 20 yrs, waiting for the catch that was worthy of this piece of beautiful driftwood. The mount will be ready by Christmas 2007 and I will send you a picture of the mount. Enclosed you will find some of the photo’s taken after we came in from the trip, before you cleaned the fish.
Sincerely Yours, John M. & Juanita Williford |
